Earthen Vessels was a Jars of Clay newsletter produced by Andy Lowell, brother of Jars keyboardist, Charlie Lowell. The newsletter was available only through e-mail and provided information not found anywhere else, as well as a deeper look into the band's spiritual beliefs. The newsletter was discontinued in 1999 in favor of periodic emailings and web site updates. When it started in 1995 it gained only 80 subscribers but by it's end in 1999 it had 7000.
